Valley Cities honored for anti-stigma campaign

FEDERAL WAY, WA (March 22, 2017) - In response to a public outcry opposing the building of a new mental health treatment facility in the City of Des Moines, Valley Cities and their communications partner, Team Soapbox, launched a marketing campaign to share positive mental health messages and educate the community as to what is possible with treatment. What resulted wasn’t just a series of ads but also a forum for real and personal conversation and calls for help from people impacted by behavioral health challenges.

Valley Cities was honored at a recent Puget Sound Public Relations Society of America event for their work on this campaign.
