Community Resource RoomsStaff photo Auburn

The community resource rooms at Valley Cities are open to all Valley Cities clients and the community at large. The resource rooms provide individual support, skill building and a variety of free resources, assisting those who might not have access to a community network of support. The rooms are stocked with computers and a wide variety of literature and information about available community resources. The goal of the resource room is to promote recovery by involving consumers in their own process of finding the support and resources they need.
Our resource rooms are completely staffed by volunteers. We would not be able to provide this service without them. It is their commitment, compassion, and personal skills that make our resource rooms possible.

Resources available in our Resource Rooms:

  • Computers
  • Books, fliers, and brochures
  • Manuals
  • Self-help modules about mental illness
  • Self-management strategies and maintaining the motivation to continue moving forward towards recovery
  • Other community resources
