253.876.3422, or Valley Cities Selects Acclaimed Career Professional as new CEO Brian Wilson, Interim Chief of Police in Federal Way, and Board Chairman of Valley Cities Counseling and Consultation announced the selection of Faith Richie as the new CEO to replace Marilyn LaCelle, who is retiring in October. During Ms. Richie's accomplished and extensive career, she has served as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operations Officer in human service organizations in Maryland, California and Washington. Board Chairman Wilson commented "We are extremely fortunate that Faith Richie will contribute her leadership, business expertise, and commitment to human services. Those proven qualities will ensure that, without missing a step, Valley Cities can continue to expand our success in improving the lives of our clients and the health of the communities we serve. Chairman Wilson reports that Ms. Richie, who has an MBA degree from Stanford University, brings to her new position extensive executive experience in outpatient, inpatient, and residential services, as well as expertise in shaping and managing best practices in administration and service delivery. She has also demonstrated deep commitment to providing exemplary services to clients and their families, and has earned recognition at the state and local level as an expert financial and policy analyst. A current colleague commented "She is a business genius, has a genuinely personable style, and knows mental health inside and out." Ms. Richie will begin at Valley Cities in mid-October and work with current CEO, Marilyn LaCelle to ensure a smooth transition for clients, staff and the community.
